Was referred to Janet by a family member, and was super impressed by Janet from start to finish. From our first conversation, Janet was very down-to-earth and helpful, thoroughly explaining the steps to the process, and the different facets of an offer; she was great about responding to texts, emails, phone calls and even sent us short weekly videos with status updates. It was always so easy and simple to get in touch with her, and she has an excellent way of boiling down real estate jargon into layman's terms.We began our search in mid-January, hoping to start early and have an idea of what we'd want to pursue more seriously once more properties started entering the market. It started slow, with just a handful of houses each weekend, and the occasional open house, but Janet very quickly began to narrow down the things we wanted and didn't want about a prospective home, and helped us really settle on the style/size of the places we'd like to go see. After a few disappointments (low inventory and high demand make for a crazy, fast-paced experience), while preparing a list of properties to go see over a weekend, Janet sent us a link of one that might be worth considering: it had a similar size, price point and layout to an earlier property we had very much liked... and boy, was she right on the money.After seeing three other properties that day, when we walked into the one she had suggested, we knew we were on to something special. Just as she had said, this home had so many of the things we had liked about previous properties, and fit very well within our budget and the geographic area we wanted to stay in. We contacted her immediately to move forward on an offer, and she helped us craft a very strong and competitive one that we submitted before the end of the day. Thankfully, the seller accepted our offer, and we could not be happier.Working with Janet was so easy and simple, she gave us great recommendations on mortgage brokers, inspection companies as well as a variety of drywall/painting companies to talk to about doing some redecorating of the interior. Janet assisted us in getting our condo in the Chicago area, and we couldn't be happier with her assistance and the outcome. Very simply...Janet was GREAT! She was very calming through a hectic process. We met Janet at an open house and we were initially just flirting with the idea of buying. We were struck by her pleasant and honest personality.
